Professional Summary

I am a software project manager currently living and working in Minnesota, with experience in application development and web technologies, as well as systems administration. I have been working in software or related fields since 2010, during which time I have accrued valuable insights into development and project management.

I have acquired both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Computer Science at separate state universities in Wisconsin. In the process, I was involved in a number of interesting and challenging research projects, particularly during my graduate career, which continue to guide and inform my work today.

Senior Project Manager, Entropy Multimedia Inc.

I currently work as a senior project manager for a small software development company specializing in both web and server-side applications. The position involves a high level of planning, design, and implementation of requested features, as well as extensive communication and verification of requirements with our clients. Previously, I have worked both in an individual development capacity and as part of a team to handle larger software projects for the company.

Linux Systems Administrator, Internet Scout Project

I served as a Linux systems administrator working for a small team of people involved in information and metadata services. Apart from maintaining our server infrastructure and providing workstation assistance, I was also involved in planning and implementing various server improvements, particularly in the areas of data redundancy and backups.

Java Programming Intern, Menards

I started out as a Java programming intern at Menards working over the summer of 2010 and continued on partway into the school year. Working on the store kiosk team, I was responsible for the maintenance and troubleshooting of the programs used for roofing and siding projects. I was also involved in the redesign effort for the deck program and assisted in general technical software work for the company.

I enrolled as a graduate student and attained a Master's degree in Computer Sciences. I was most involved in the study of artificial intelligence, computer vision, information visualization, and human-computer interaction, primarily in the way of coursework. Most of the work I accomplished in this period was done in C++, Bash, and Python.

University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire

As a Computer Science undergraduate, I took a number of math, science, and programming classes. I was also involved in some undergraduate research in my senior year regarding web programming paradigms and natural language processing. I wrote most of my assignments in Java or C++ during this time.

Interests

Over the course of my career, I have had the opportunity to travel to a number of different places, both international and domestic, which has served to further broaden my horizons. Back here at home, I enjoy various creative pursuits - my hobbies include writing short stories, remixing music, and making games.
